Default Turbo Actuator valve - Squicking Noise - cdti 150

I have a cdti 150 and the turbo actuator valve is squicking!!

its driving me nuts because it sounds like the aux belt slipping.

    Is this a common issue??

Do I need to replace it, or is there a quick fix????

Remove the vacuum to it and its all quiet again!

Could be the boost controller that's the problem possibly. It sits near at the slam panel above the boost hose and has the vacuum pipes connected to it.

I presume you've removed the inter-cooler/manifold pipe to rule out the turbo ?, The pipe will have an oily residue but nothing else like a metallic residue or swarf.

Is the boost controler the one near the egr or is it something different?
