    Default Rear Lights

    Hi all,

How difficult is it to replace the rear lights?

I currently have the rear lights with the orange indicator and Im hoping 'The Boss' has bought me some clear/smoked ones for Christmas!!

So is there much involved, I havent really looked at them.

Remove the bulbholder & it's 3 nuts per light unit & the light will pull away from the car. 10 mins will have each side off.

Well I put the lights on and it looks so much better with the clear indicators than with the orange indicators!

I also got some chrome indicator bulbs to keep the clear look, which set it off. Although they were advertised as Vauxhall bulbs, the bulbs had offset pins, but I got them in there anyway and work.

    I will post some pics!

I swapped my 2003 Vectra's lights for some 2006 units, the bulbs in the indicators are different between the years (2006 lights had offset pins) if you're a stickler for detail like me, you'll be needing a clear middle brake light to match!

Well, yes I was going to look into it and after lots of searching I managed to find out on ebay for £30 which is only £20 less than my new rear lights. So I will leave it for now and will just keep looking around breakers to see if I can grab a bargin.
