    How big job is it taking the turbo off

    Not a massive job tbh. You should read my turbo upgrade thread in the south central section.

    Its not as hard as it looks and feels more comfortable attempted wirh friends. I will be taking mine off next week and also taking it off again in feb when I replace it with something bigger. If you want to do it gather some member to help. Many will learn from such a day.

    Depending on where you are you may find a member who has already done this. I recommend this method because you will learn so much from it.

    Hi tomo,it's a fair old job,remove engine top cover and V.belt cover,drain coolant,remove pollen filter housing,wiring harnesses,intake pipe and hose,wastegate hose,drain radiator,turbo heatshield,breather hose,turbo vacuum hose,cat temp sensor,turbo coolant and oil supply lines,release catalitic convertor(SUPPORT THE EXHAUST SYSTEM OR YOU WILL FRACTURE THE FLEXY COUPLING)exhaust pipe,turbo oil supply line banjo bolt,coolant return line banjo bolt,turbo support and heat shield holder,remove turbo.as i said tomo a bit of a job.when you fit new turbo prime turbine with clean engine oil before refiting oil supply line

    What utter ********. I have done this on my drive with the help of a few members on here. A guide can be written but above is wrong.

    I agree with Nige I helped my mate with a turbo change on his z20net wasn't that bad at all mate as Nige says the above comment makes is sound very but it's not at all
    Vectra vxr custome remaps egr deletes dpf and diagnostic work all remaps are custome bench tuning avalible all genuine equipment PM for info

    I think Jonny's got the wrong engine in his head, given that he's talking about a "v-belt cover" - no such belt or cover on the 2.0T

    Removed most of bolts and pipes, just struggling to get the bottom collar off the turbo, to separate from exhaust housing.
