Default Judder at 50 to 60

Just noticed that I seem to have a pretty big judder at 50 ish when under light acceleration . I don't think it's tracking as if I drop it into 4 th ( auto box) it doesn't do it . I'm hoping it's not the box but seems to look that way unless its engine mounts or something . Anyone shed some light or anything to look for ? Also sometimes when pulling up to a stop it's a bit juddery .

    Any help would be great

    Default

Almost certainly wheel balancing, that is the common speed range for front wheels out of balance
    Have the fronts rebalanced first
Then take the car for a short run and compare
If it is still present, then have the rears rebalanced

Prior to that, you could check the tyres for uneven wear around the tread circumference (not the edges) and take tread depth readings at four points and compare
Also look for unusual round or deep worn areas

Finally, some general information about the tyres will help; age, mileage, and if they have been rotated during their life on the car

I hope it's the Tyres but the judder is not coming through steering wheel and only under light acceleration . The Tyres are crap sunnys that were on it when I brought it . Oh plus only three are the same . My mate said the track rod end needs changing slight play in wheel , would this cause these symptoms ?

does it feel like someone big and heavy is in the back seat moving from left to right very quickly?

    Might be the drive shaft?

It's almost definitly not the tyres if it doesn't do it when you drop a gear. if it's only under light acceleration it would indicate maybe the transfer box or an engine component. If it's only doing it in certain gears then it is torque related not speed related hence why that would rule out the balancing
Just seen the update re track rod ends. Yes because the wheel will flick slightly. Get them changed asap. its a cheap change, then start checking other things
