    Default clean cruise control stalk

    Sorry if this wrong place but is there a how 2 for this

    Engine : 1.9 CDTi

    There is somewhere, but briefly....

    Pull back rubber gaiter on indicator stalk

    Insert long thin pokey type device (cur down hair grip, or paper clip) along the groove underneath the stalk to release (don't just yank it, may do more harm than good.

    Remove stalk and spray with electrical contact cleaner at the steering wheel end and clean contacts with wet/dry or other fine sandpaper.

    Clean with contact cleaner and cotton bud the button end of indicator stalk.

    Refit and test.

    Remember you have to have applied brakes and be doing more than 30mph to activate CC

    Cheers mate u say 30 mph I was in second and doing 15 at it worked lol

    I need to try this on my stalk as my cc does not always work (did the same thing with window buttons and worked a treat) so hoping its the same problem. If not have to buy a clutch return spring.
