    confused engine bar

    hi all probs a stupid question but what do you call the bar that can be fitted across the engine think its a strut bar or somthing please help

    Sorry mate buy if ya don't no what it is u should not have one mate they should be installed properly and adjusted right other wise u will have problems
    Vectra vxr custome remaps egr deletes dpf and diagnostic work all remaps are custome bench tuning avalible all genuine equipment PM for info

    Is there any point to them for "normal" driving? I understand they may be a great help for racing and that, but I don't tend to take roundabouts at 70mph with slicks on...

    U just answered ya own question mate lol no there isn't unless you are racing all over and the relly don't make a difference unless u have a set up like spoons Vxr with all the fancy bits on the suspension

    They are not pointless they do a job to try and stop the top suspension flexing so when you go round a corner the suspension would start to flex so with a strut brace fitted it make's your suspension tighter so front wheel drive car's have fitted at the front and rear wheel drive cars have them fitted in the boot ?

    I was under the impression they were more effective on older cars where the struts are further forward. Modern cars struts are close to the firewall which has a roughly same effect.

    I fitted a lower struut brace from an s3 to my leon when I had it. Massive difference. Not heard of one being fitted on a vec c yet, although there's prob plenty
