    Default LED side Light Fault

Hi, Wondering if anyone can help me? I have recently fitted some LED side light bulbs with built in resistor (Stop warning messages) to my Vectra C. they work perfectly fine when switched on, however, if they are not switched on and the car is running they will flash constantly (similar to a police car). If i turn the vehicle off and lock it they will continue to flash for 10 to 15 seconds.... I have the option of wiring in a normal bulb to possibly stop the power going to the LED's but thats a last resort. I would like to know why it is doing this and what the problem is (i have tried the LED's in another vehicle and they work fine...) Help!!!!!

Most, if not all LED side light bulbs will flash on the Veccy as Taffy Bhoy said it’s the canbus system that causes this. You will struggle to find any LED that work correctly and if you do a search on here for side light bulbs you will find a number of threads.

Most people on here have had the same problem and have decided to go for the MTEC 501s which are an Ultra White capless standard fitting bulb. HIDs Direct sell them on eBay or I have a spare new set available….

From what I can remember and from reading all the other threads about LED Side Lights and wanting them in mine the only EASY way is the Standard fitments Capless blubs whether it be Phillips, MTEC or others.

Mine cost me £6.50 Inc Postage, you can have a set for £5 Inc Postage but remember the postage will take a while now due to Christmas. I have just had a look at HID Direct website and they have shut down service for xmas and wont re-open until 4th January so no listings are available on eBay for MTEC bulbs at the moment for them.

See Pic below of the bulbs
