Default Z22SE Lexmaul Manifold (200 Cell Sports Cat)

    Hi Guys,

I have a Vec C with the Z22SE engine. I am currently looking in to tuning; specifically the exhaust (breathing mods) to start with.

Has anyone seen or fitted this manifold? Will it make any difference? Are the gains purely from the sports manicat or is the design of the pipes improved over the standard manifold?

    Thanks for any info.

I'm not sure if you can supercharge the C due to restrictions inside the engine bay. Always loved tuned N/A cars, the noise they can make is amazing! The instant throttle response is unbeatable (IMO! )

Have you seen the price of them. You can fit a Vec B manifold, get a custom downpipe made and fit a sports cat to that, you can pick them up for £70.

The manifold of the moment for the 2.2's are the Chris Tullet ones, but there not cheap, stear clear of the piper manifolds as they seam nothing but trouble.

Just clicked the link, can't believe how cheap that manifold is! Can this be made to fit the C?

Not yet mate, had to look at some suspect bodywork on the car, thought I had rust coming through on my doors. Should be ok for now though so looking back in to the tuning of the engine.
