    Default 3.2 gsi cam belt??

    hi been offered a 3.2gsi but it has no history so was woundring if any one has done a cambelt change on one and weater it was a pig and time scale please cheers

    Had mine done at the stealers when I had a GSi, a bit pricey but takes the hassle out of doing yourself.

    VX quote 2.4 hours. Same amount of strip down work is required if you were going to do the water pump so you might as well do the WP whilst you're in there.

    Watching this with interest. Mine needs doing too. I too don't mind having a go. It would be good to be able to borrow the camshaft and crankshaft locking tool set, though. That little lot is almost £100 by itself.

    would strongly suggest you get it done by someone who knows what their doing ! these can be a ****** to get spot on EVEN with the timing kit

    Its not officially due untill 80k but most get them done at 40-60k to be on the safe side. Also consider the water pump at the same time, its not driven by the cambelt but it normally needs the cambelt off to change it.
