    Default fault code reader

    hi guys,

if anyone is in the caerphilly area and has a fault reader, could i be a right cheeky git and ask if i could have 15mins of your time to plug it in? i really aint got £40 to go to a garage especially this time of year.
i get the spanner light on for about 5 secs and then disappears, theres no limp mode (had that before on split intercooler pipe).
I've tried the pedal trick but doesnt seem to work.
    got a 2.0ltr vectra dti 54plate.

i know its a cheek but i dont want it to develop into something big if i can fix it now.

    thanks guys

    rich

Does if disappear 5 seconds after the ignition is turned on, or 5 seconds after starting the engine? Add does it do it all the time, or just when cold?

I'm guessing a dodgy glow plug

Hi Rich,is the light on before a cold start only,if so it's most likeley a heater plug fault,if so as long as the engine starts ok you will be ok.
