Default Rear heating & rear socket

    Hi all,

I have a 1.8 54 Energy and it has heater vents and 12v power socket in the rear of the car. Having taken the centre console partially apart i discovered that the ducting for the vents were missing and there was no cable coming from the socket.

I am thinking this was maybe removed when the aftermarket parking sensor was installed and they used the electrical cable from the socket to power the parking sensor. Would the ducting have also been removed to aid fitment of the sensor? When the heater is on face or feet and the vents at the front are shut there is air coming from the screen outlet. Is this caused by the removal of this duct?

    Thanks for the help!

I'd think that someone has put the heater vent centre console in for cosmetic purposes. However, the rear socket should be wired...

Agreed, it sounds like someone added the console purely for cosmetic purposes
It looks as is if the Energy trim did not have this

Yeah, my mate had an energy. I can confirm that the centre console would be a retrofit.

Can also confirm - as my dad owns a 54 plate Energy- that the front armrest/rear vents/rear 12v socket weren't fitted to this model or the expression, breeze and some 2004 Life models.
