Default Head unit cutting out underload

Now the cold frosty mornings have set in I've noticed when I start the car up first thing with the aircon on the cd player cuts out. Sometimes just like that but usually it's when I'm reversing out my drive and the steering is on near to full lock. Tried the engine earth mod in the how 2 sections but still getting the same problem. Should I be looking towards battery/alternator? How many volts should the battery be outputting?

    Any help is greatly appreciated

    Thanks
    TF.

With the engine running you should be seeing about 13.8-14.4V anything less than 13V and you probably have a duff battery or a fault somewhere in the charging circuit - usually the alternator.
