    Default Adjusting Handbreak

    Hey Guys & Gals,

Yesterday i had my rear pads changed as one was down to the metal ooppss.

Anyway after having them changed when i got in the car a few hours later i noticed the hand brake pulls up a lot higher than normal. Is it easy to adjust? as im guessing this is what needs doing? would it be something an idiot like me could do or am i better off getting a professional to do it?

    Cheers Alan.

The handbrake is self-adjusting. With time, it will pull up less clicks. Mine came up about 8 clicks when I done the rear brakes, and was about 4 clicks after a couple of weeks

my hand breaks aint adjustable ...lol.........he he ......... were the pads fitted correctly ? pedal pumped up and driven before the hand brake beeing put on ....if the hand brake was put on early or before the pedal was pumped up it wont be any good ......if it does need adjustment its not a simple task involves removeing the arm rest between the seats ....and moveing some adjuster parts on the back of the leaver ...
