I have a 9.6v dust buster thing that sits on charge in the house and i grab that to get rid of the ash etc it has very impressive suction and gets about 7-8 minutes use off the battery (although the battery is getting a bit weaker after a couple of years)

You can get 12v ones of these now aswell

Can't make any suggestions as to which hoover is best Soulman but if it's a long thin attachment you're after then talk to an Autosmart rep they have one, it attaches to any hoover and comes with 2 long narrow tubes (1 shorter and 1 longer) they are about 1/4 of an inch in diameter so will get into all the nooks & crannies so sweat.

I'll try and get a pic later today

ok cheers for that . bryan may have to get a long extention lead and stand the hoover up on a board on the grass then,as its the type where the brushes keep working although your on attatchment mode.

i find my vax hoover perfect for hoovering the car as it comes equipped with lots of attachments for getting into nookas and crannies, imo these wee plug in hoovers are pants and theyve got not enough suction to make a good job i would think blr123s suggestion would be good as you plug them onto any household hoover thus better suction and cleaner carpets
