    Default running report

Well my car has just hit 55K so has traveled 21K under my ownership since mid October 2010.

I have noticed very little degrading of ride, handling no new creaks and groans, but one quite interesting thing, the engine feels much better, sounds better feels faster and more responsive and generally less economical too by about 2mpg, but that could very easily be down to me and my speed creeping up from when I bought the car.

After all the bad press these cars get I adore her and come spring will treat her to a new windscreen replacing the three bullseye's she has picked up in the past weeks and months.

Really refreshing to read someone actually saying something positive about their car on here

I keep a XLS file of all work carried out, even when paid for by warranty
The final column is cost per mile
Quite shocking that running a car is now above £1.20 per mile

I tend to agree, once you go above 3 years / 60K miles a car suddenly comes into its own
Ever since the warranty ran out on mine it seems to have been more reliable, but maybe that is due to it not visting the dealership!

    Just watch those springs
Almost everyone seems to have suffered this by 5 years / 100K miles
I've never had a car with such unreliable parts, the rear went first, then the front

My windscreen also has some repairs
I too plan to replace mine, eventually
Equally, my previous Vectra B had a graduated windscreen, so when it finally goes I will be making arrangements for this type as the Vectra C did not have this originally and I understand this type is available now
