    Default torque settings for brakes

    anyone know the torque settings for the front brakes bolts (carrier/caliper). got to do pads and discs on front of an 05 plate, 1.8 veccie, thanks

    Sure it's 220nm

    And 45nm for caliper sliders

    Will confirm on auto later on if no one else has before hand

    Torque setting?? There used only on head bolts.!!

    By hand man by hand click click...

    Yes i know have some humour.

    Still i don't use one never have never will by hand only unless it's a head bolt or drive pinion or gearbox.

    haynes say 230nm/170 lbft and the slider bolts 30nm/22lbft for the front,for the rear it is 130nm/96 lbft.it is also recommended that new bolts are fitted

    Last time I had to replace a slider bolt it was £12 + VAT from VX stealer .
