    Default Autodim Mirror?

So i just bought the mirror from a scrappy, and they said the loom goes all the way to the back, and implied that id probably have it..

But then looking at how2 on the forum it seems i need to get the loom from the car?

So tomorrow im gunna go and grab it.. how much of a hassle is it to remove it from the original car?

Anyone in Ely area wanna help me at all

they are correct it goes all the way to the back.

but if you dont have such mirror today, you wont have the loom.

about 30 minuts to remove it.. (can be done quicker)

Thats what i though, i dont have the mirror already in my car, so im thinking of going back tomorrow and try and recover the loom?

does it just run through to back so basically just pull it out? from the car?

No you cant pull it out, its taped to the rooflining, you will have to take the passenge side down to remove it.

You need to drop the headlining as its taped to the headlining and needs to be unstuck.

Just pulling it will rip the loom as its a ribbon cable.

Also, check if its just a single connection where the mirror plugs in. There are two types of ribbon cable...

One with just connectors that run from the mirror to the rear connection panel, and one with additional connectors.. one for a rain sensor and two others which extend left and right of the mirror connection which go to the sun visors if they are illuminated.

Check the sun visors and if they both have mirrors and a light either side, might be worth grabbing the visors at the same time!

Do when I looked at it, it had two ribbon cables hanging out of it when we took it out?

I already have the illuminated mirrors in the visor, will get some pictures tomorrow when I go to it.

Plus when I pulled the alarm vit out of the top, there was a black wire just hanging there? Again ill throw a picture on and see what people think?
