Default New lad from from Newcastle

    As above, just registered,

My name is Kev and I'm a 22 year old wages clerk from Newcastle, I just picked up my '02 plate Vectra 3.2 V6 Elite on friday.

Always been a fan of the Vetrca since before I could drive, my dad had a facelift V reg Vectra B 2.0 DTi as a company car (when they were brand new) he now has a '55 plate 1.9 CDTi (150) and what an awesome drive that is!

I wrote off my 1.8 16v Astra G in September (pics of it before the crash below)
and when my insurance payout came through I didn't know what I was going to get, I didn't know what I wanted TBH! but a visit up to Tyneside Autoparc one late after noon last saturday and a pre-facelift Vectra C caught my eye, in metallic blue, I knew it must've been one of the higher spec models as it had the 17" alloys and fogs for starters,

I went up for a closer look and noticed it had full black leather interior and the 3.2 V6 engine,
The salesman came over and opened the car up for me, had a sit inside, the seats weren't only leather but heated too (front and rear) , had the woodgrain trim on the dash and doors, 4 disc autochanger and tape deck front and rear map lights, sunglasses holder, trip computer, front and rear electric windows, electric mirrors, automatic tinting rear view mirror, other features include, ABS, TC, ESP, power steering, it has a rear spoiler and a twin exit Power flow exhaust from manifold to backbox, so basically has all the toys, It was on an '02 plate and had only done 26,000 miles with a full service history.

I went back and spoke to the salesman on Sunday and negotiated 6 months tax, a service, 12 months premium warranty, I was in love with the car at that point anyway so I went for it,

    initial plans are:

Going to complete the interior with:

    Irmscher Gearknob
    Irmscher Handbrake
Irmscher door pins (Still have from my Astra)
Irmscher Pedals (still have from my Astra)

Exterior is going to be a head scratcher as there doesn't seem to be much available styling wise.
I REALLY like the Irmcher I500 as featured in total Vauxhall a couple of months back, though I wouldn't bother with the rear spoiler as the car already has one fitted the I500 skirts IMO are hideous and I much prefer the VXR skirts if'll they'll fit a pre-facelift model same with the rear bumper skirt, I prefer the VXr one, so in a nutshell, bodystyling (providing parts will fit) will consist of

    Irmscher i500 front bumper
    VXR sideskirts
    VXR rear bumper skirt
    Smoked headlights
Smoked clear, red, red , clear rear lights
    Irmscher grille
    Smoked side repeaters

    Wheels & suspension
Not too sure on suspension as yet but will probably go with Eibach coilovers again as I was really impressed with the Pro-street items I had fitted to my Astra, I've decided that I'm going to take full advantage of those huge arches by filling them with a set of wheels no smaller than 19"
    First thoughts are:

    Irmscher Sportstars
Those Irmscher wheels fitted to the i500
    BBS CH

    I'll post some pics tommorow

Welcome Kev. Just like you I live in Newcastle and have also just picked up a 3.2 V6 Elite. I was at Tyneside Autoparc last week looking around. Must have missed your car.

I have also just joined the forum and have been made welcome. No doubt I may see you at some of the NE MEETS.

to the site Kev, sounds like you got one hell of a cracking motor there, amazing only 26,000 miles on it ... superb! I never realised Vxl fitted rear heated seats in the Vec ... they must have removed them for the 03 models

Look forward to seeing the pics

    Dave
