Put update disc in again and see if it starts, if not then pull power to radio for an hour then plug back in and retry.
If it still won't update then only other option is to hold down audio button until boot loader screen apears then reset radio eeprom

You MUST use a genuine firmware update disc. I tried updating mine via a non-genuine disk (downloaded of the internet) and thought I'd bricked it... I ordered a genuine firmware update disk from Vauxhall and that cured it.

I done exactly the same thing a few weeks ago. Mine had the update disc stuck inside and would not eject after i tried tp update it with a downloaded disc. Ended up having to remove the CD70 and removing the bottom plate to access the drive and manually remove the CD.

On the right hand side there is a screw that holds a small metal plate onto the board (Sorry havent got any images at the moment) under this is the loading motor, move the cog and this will eject the CD and lower the loading lock function (2 bits of plastic pop up infornt of the drive to stop you from loading a disc on top of one that is already in there)

I didn't know about this until i put everything back together, with the disc out, tried to put a proper update disc in, and I didn't make sure the locking system had reset, had to pull it all apart again

Once that was all done, inserted the firmware disc from VX only a fiver, all went through fine.

    YAY!!!

Hope this helpes if someone like me decided to update from an Online Source (DON'T DO IT!!!!) It's not worth the hastle.
