Default Car shopping today (not for me)

Wife’s sister needed a new car after the engine in her Rover 200 was trashed by cylinder head problems (more than the car was worth to fix it).

She fancied an astra and there are a few good deals about on nearly new Life and Clubs. Anyway got to the first garage who had a good selection and she did a rapid change in direction (with the comment - ooh I really like that).

Year old Vaux Tigra Coupe Roadster 1.4 - metallic black (just under 9k miles).

I think it must have been a mid life crisis, she dropped the notion of the astra. Anyway to cut a long storey short she bought it

I was wondering if there were any common problems or issues to watch out for (car will have a full year Network Q warranty when she picks it up). They are pretty cute but I would need a matching one for the other foot.

P.S. Electric boot and hood is cool (shame the summer is over, in Scotland it officially ends at the start of August – and the rain gets cold again)

P.P.S. If you are buying a car let the woman do the negotiating, she got a really good deal (I was there on sharp pointy finger duty)

    Cheers Mark,

I really liked it (just a bit small for me) and convinced her to go for it - it will suit her down to the ground (and its cheap to run insurance, tax and mpg)
