auto lights and wipers not working

hi all just wondered if anyone would know why my auto lights and wipers dont work properly? when i switch the lights to auto they are just permanently on and the auto wipers just dont work at all :drowning:! the only other thing is that the drivers side vanity light also doesnt work could they be related?

Check the loom is plugged in ok at the REC as they all come from there.

Have you had any work done on the car like a windscreen replacement etc?

well now you mention it they have never worked since ive had it but have noticed that the windscreen has been changed

Sounds like the roof loom is damaged/ripped as incompetent window fitters 'forget' to unplug the loom from the sensor before they take the screens out.

I would be checking that first. Might even be as simple as it being unplugged.

i had the same problem
when changing the window the guys from the shop had cut the wires while removing the glass.

this made the fuse pop. With a fuse burned the lights are always on.

where do i find the fuse? might be worth a try

Take off the covers round the rear view mirror and see if the rain sensor is plugged in (the lights use the same sensor). As others have said - either the windscreen fitted forgot to plug it back in, or damaged it taking the old screen out.

does the dimming mirror work on the same loom as that works perfect??
