    Default cdti 150 mpg issues

Hi all, i've had my vectra estate 150 cdti from new, (07 plate ) its done 48k with full dealer servicing.. up to 2-3 month ago ive always got about 44-47 mpg combined.. that has now dropped to 35-39 mpg ! i have also noticed that the dpf is now cleaning out after 500 miles rather than the normal 700 miles ! my k&n filter is always clean so can anybody give me a few tips on what the prob may be ?
    Many thanks
    Kcs

Does the car come up to temperature and stay there when driving (It doesnt drop back down)?

When was the air filter last changed?

Is your EGR valve OK? If it's jammed open, then the engine will produce more soot and hence block the DPF quicker.

The dpf regen cycle is more likely why your average mpg is dropped, why its blocking more often, thats another question
Now I need a turbo to keep up!
