    Default New Headunit Fitted

As above thought I would post up a few pics of my new headunit with thanks to Chuckleuk

Its a Pioneer bt3300 DVD touchscreen/Bluetooth. Got reversing camera and freeview TV so all is good. Also treated my 2 year old twins to screens on the headrests to watch peppa pig. But after getting this HU im planning on changing to a roof mounted screen as the pioneer will play separate dvd on rear screens whilst music/Tv on the front. Plus the wires from the others get on my nerves lol.

How did you do that buddy? Looks 1000% better

Wired up the freeview with a boosted ariel today and was very suprised with the quality. Its just like watching the TV indoors. But Thats only when car is stationary lol. I will see what its like on the move tomorrow. But with the powered ariel it picks up 90% of the freeview channels

Tomorrow the plan is to wire up the reversing camera....

Looks good. Thinking of doing something similar if the original doesn't work when it all goes digital.
Do the steering wheel controls ans top display still work?

    Hey Ian hope Wendys well..

Didnt know you had a TV in your car matey, but yeah the powered digital ariel and freeview box were easy to install. We went digital some time ago round here.
I can still use steering controls as before as I got the can-bus steering control adaptor, but the screen in the centre vent only display time/temperature and mpg/range etc. It no longer displays song/radio channel.

You can purchase the leads that display on the screen but they are mega exspensive and only available for a few headunits. But tbh you wont miss it if you upgrade to a double din dvd headunit.

Keep your eyes peeled Ian as you can sometimes grab a bargain. This upgrade aint cheap, £300 headunit, £50-70 leads, £20-30 facia adaptor, £40-60 for freeview & aerial and £15 reversing camera . I was lucky and got mine from a fellow member and saved over £100 and only 8 weeks old.
