Default where is PAS fluid resevoir ?

Sorry for showing my ignorance here, I have a 2006 Vectra CD TI SRI 150 and I have some noise coming from the PAS on start up (whine) not loud but its there an annoying. The PAS is still working fine, the way I have come to this conclusion that it is the PAS is that the noise stops as I turn the steering wheel, the noise also goes away after a few minutes and miles. But it is getting worst, I want to check the PAS fluid level and top up if needed first, fingers crossed this is the only cause, but I cant find the PAS fluid bottle to check and top up if needed, could someone please advise where the fluid bottle is and how to get at it also can you advise what fluid type I need, it dose not advise in the service book - just refer to dealer !! many thanks in advance

Mine is behind the front bumper/offside wing, beneath the offside headlight - 2.2 petrol.

But as others have said, it can be elsewhere, depending on engine spec for starters.

I have a 1.9 CDTI 150, and it is behind the engine block. My old 1.8 had it there too. But on my old 2.0T it was behind the front driver's side bumper. Location varies according to model.
