    Default Battery gone.. Already :s

I say already cause this is my first experience with a diesel, it could be normal for all I know,
Basically took my signum to ATS for a full service and they did their checks etc
And said my battery's on its way out (it has been taking longer to get going on cold mornings)
The cars 06 reg done 60k, 150cdti, anyone else had anything similar?

Also apparently one of my front springs is snapped quoted me 220 to fix both front and tracking, plus battery at around 80
And a tyre is going a funny shape too.. 100 quid
Plus my service that will be around 600 in a week merry xmas

Vauxhall will sell you a battery cheaperthan that - and with a 3 yr guarantee, IIRC.

I expect a battery to last 4 years, after that, plan for it going. If yours is the originaaaaaal, it's done well. Springs, well, known problem. Probably caused the tyre and tracking problem. Unfortunate this time of year. No way you can get car under cover and change items yourself, then get tracking checked?

Thx boys yeah it will end up being around 600, with full service in on that as well
Was a bit shocked at the battery going but I've learned recently diesels use the battery's more etc,
I need my car every day for work tho with no alternative so just gunna let them do it on Friday,
You guys think I'll be ok driving with the cracked spring, apparently its at the top if that makes any difference,
And then just hope the battery doesn't conk out
Pretty gutted really but can't blame the car cos its just generic stuff

Still got original battery on my 6 y.o. vectra. Not sure how much longer it will last. Had 3 of the springs replaced so far. Think the last one was about £70.
