Could be the CIM actually im pretty sure it will be the CIM, the AFL wont get the signal from the steering as wont the indicators and the ABS light is most likely not communicating because of that.

Could it be CIM related mate, maybe something to do with calibration as the indicators won't self cancel?

    Just a guess

Thanks lads, I'm thinking the same thing...

Can I pre-check any simple things first?

    - Like fuses? which ones should I check?
    - Like WD40? which connectors should I spray?

etc.. just simple stuff first before I start spending money... again

    Thanks

Could be CIM but its more a failure of earlier prefacelift cars, but there seams to be loads of CIM related threads popping up this last week, wonder if its a cold and moisture thing?

Linky to some checks here but as said for older cars.

PS the ABS plug has been updated so really doubt its that, but you never know...

code was steering angle sensor out of calibration iirc

    Rushy thats excellent thanks.

My ABS plug is right under my nearside bonnet vent. So that could have caused some water ingress? I did make an alloy cover plate for it, but maybe it hasnt worked.

I'll go buy some electrical contact cleaner from Maplins today and try that first. Fingers crossed and will keep this thread updated
