    Default Stripping out the interior

I have an elite saloon with full leather, can any major weight loss be achieved by completely stripping out the interior, like everything behind the driver seat including door cards, trims seats, spare wheel, boot floor, etc basically to just a complete empty metal shell?

Id consider buying light weight front seats too as i reckon those heated leather thrones would weigh a lot too.

This isnt a thread to sell my full leather interior either! Honest

Anyone with more knowledge than me take an approximate guess? Or anyone who has changed interior know?

    Cheeeeeeeeers

You can save a lot of weight taking the interior out. But what purpose are you doing it for? Will you be using it for trackdays? Having had stripped out cars before and using them on track they are great when stripped out. Driving a car on the road with few creature comforts on the other hand is horrible.

Well i have a GSi with full list of elite extras including full leather heated seats, sunroof, dual climate etc etc and i can tell you it deffo weighs alot more than a standard GSi. If you read manual, if memory serves correct i think the additional weight for elite is 30+ KG but could be wrong as its a long time since i read it.

Mine is auto, but is remapped to aprrox 220-230 and i was acheiving lower 1/4mile times than most standard GSi's , which i put down to th big weight difference (Auto box also)
