Sorry to half-hijack this...but is that anything related to your power steering?...and has your steering packed up?

My steering has been behaving funny at times with steering at slow speed clearly more difficult than it should be. It seems this unit can cause all sorts of things to pack up from steering to indicator cancelling to immobiliser failure.

Have you checked peer steering level?

Have you got any power assistance at all?

There's a VX field remedy which may or may not help:
    Field Remedy: 1465

    Subject:Spring Checkvalve - Remove

    Models:Engines:Option:Vectra-C 2002All

Complaint: No steering assistance after starting the engine. The spring in the checkvalve is blocking the valve.

As of the following VIN modified checkvalve has been introduced in production: Production Rüsselsheim: VIN W0L0ZCF6921040000, Production Ellesmere Port: VIN W0L0ZCF6828082406. The 11th digit of the VIN describes the production plant, 1 for Rüsselsheim, 8 for Ellesmere Port.

Thanks guys, it's been on a Tech2 and pretty confident it is the CIM on it's way out. Just looking at:

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1107380984...84.m1423.l2649

And want to work out if it is the right one for my car.

What's the ident code on your one? If you can't get to it, a code/diagnostic reader should be able to tell you.
