    Default Replacing gear stick

Im about to replace the gearstick on the signum for the slightly shorter astra h version, but not sure how it all comes apart, on my old old mk3 astra it used to be just a pin but if anyone has any pics or a how to that would be great, many thanks.

im sure that the whole unit is held in with bolts and then you just unclip the linkages

It its the same as the vectra, take the gaitor off, 4x torx bolts undoes the cage around the stick, shouldnt need to undo the linkages, there is a ball joint at the bottom of the stick which thus connects to the linkages. Just use a long shaft flat head screw driver to pop off the ball out of the socket.

I need to change mine from what I can see, it's a case of undoing the 4 torx bolts and releasing the ball joint so it shouldn't be that bad.

no your should be the easy one . if your reverse in right and down. it the whole unit. because it if you pull the ball joint out you can't get the new one back in . i even asked vx . i went and brought just the stick of ebay that someone rip out tried to fit it could'nt so i ask vx and they said its a sealed unit . so i went to my local scrapie's and took one out myself paid £15 and not to bad to fit about 3ish hours
