    Default Insignia 2.0T 4x4?

Ok its getting to the time when im thinking about changing the car. Does anyone know much about the above model, problems, average mpg etc? I have been looking at the insig vxr but i reckon its a step too far with us doing 15k per year. I have read the 2.0t isnt too good on fuel, but any real world figures? Any other general info/assistance would be appreciated..

They have had some serious issues with the 4x4 system ... And that's a costly repair outside of warranty

The haldex coupling ends up with abnormal wear as it doesn't appear to be man enough for the job on the earlier ones ... Theses were swapped out but some out there if the have been driven "normally" may still have the initial one fitted so can easily fail outside the warranty period

so I would only get one with plenty of warrenty left on it if I was you

would certainly come in handy with all that snow you get up there ..

loved my 2.9 4x4 sierra estate in snowy icy weather

No danger of getting one out of warranty Ian - too many horror stories for my liking

The 4x4 is now needed for us up here IMHO, the last 4 years have had poor winters with plenty of snow and ice - ideally i would prefer the VXR but as said its the extra cost thats making me baulk a little...

yeah I must admit I only use my siggy as a weekend car ....fortunate to get a second car for nothing ..and I know its been well looked after ..
so I did save alot on the insurance on the Admiral multicar policy and also limited miles on the siggy .
