Headlamp levelling and cleaning devices WHEN FITTED for HID or LED headlamps

is that still saying, if its fitted, it has to work, but if they arent fitted they can't fail?

I see the Grey areas widening and even more uncertainty mounting towards the HID thing.

    It's all old news anyway

I was wondering how long it would be before they added the point about checking BOTH tail pipes in a diesel, where it has a dual exhaust system
One to note for the 3.0 V6 CDTI brigade
    So ask for both copies
I wonder how many testers will get their calculators out!

The smoke limit is a new limit
It was tried before and was a disaster, about 80% of vehicles failed when it was first introduced
Hence why most diesels now have DPF

    Correct
It's the same with the other points in Annex B
    If fitted, then inspect
The odd one here is the battery...
If not fitted then cannot fail (although you will have difficulty with some of the other points)

Speaking to the MOT test centre I've been at today they say they STILL HAVE NOT had any information on rule changes to the MOT. If these rule changes are supposed to be inforced by 1st January surely they should all be up to date.

Don't bother me for now, my MOT now expires at the beginning of 2013 so if they do come in I don't have to panic.
