Question DMF (Dual Mass Flywheel) How to change?

    Hello there,

my DMF has been noisy for quite a while and I thought I might try and do it myself. Can someone point me in the direction of a good procedure as to what is involved in doing this? I did look in the 'How to' section but was quite surprised not to find one as I thought it was a relatively common thing to go.

The car is a 1.9 CDTi150 with 105,000 miles on it.

    Many thanks.......

Buy your self a haynes manual, however taking the gear box out isn't for the faint hearted

The fact that there is'nt a" how too" tells you everything you need to know mate, thats why the workshops charge circa £900 squid to do one, good luck if you do attempt it though.

Some clutch/transmission specialists will do it for about £700.
