wheel cleaning for winter storage

the snowies are off and are atm stacked in the lounge.

what is the best thing to clean them with for a few months storage in the house?

is soap and water ok or is there something better to use?

I use Tesco Wheel Cleaner to remove excessive brake dust on alloys
Spray, leave for 20 minutes, wash off

I have also used bleach for extreme dirt
Pour the bleach into a tray and brush on
Again, wash off after 20 minutes

A jet wash gives the best results
I remove one wheel at a time
Fair enough it takes nearly two hours to clean all the wheels, but it means both the visible outside and hidden inside are clean

what is srp?

i may have to invest in some proper cleaner then, not sure what i have in the garage.

jetwash isnt an option as i dont have an outside tap and will seema bit odd unloading wheels at the car wash to wash them separately!

SRP is Autoglym Super Resin Polish. An all in one polish cleaner and (minimal) protector. It will remove a lot of grime that soap and water wont.

just fling a table cloth over them, stick the christmas tree on top of them and hey presto a new christmas decoration! lol

bet the missus wont let you leave them in the lounge too long, especially if ya using bleach to clean them.

tbh they were refurbed before we bought the car ( we collected it 1st oct) so they shouldnt be too bad.

in fact the fronts look clean but will clean them anyway obvs.

they are going in the cupboard under the stairs, too valuable to leave in the garage tbh. assuming they fit in the cupboard that is!
