Default Massive Electrical Problems with Boot Fusebox/module?

My car has now been at a garage for 2 days, it went in due to the brake lights staying on and no power to the washer pump. even with the brake light switch unplugged they still stay lit. They are now telling me they "think" the problem is the module/fuseblock in the boot, and want to charge me £300 for a new unit plus labour.

on the same day the engine lost all power like the turbo wasnt even on the car, no boost, nothing..... a code reader told me there was a problem witht he boost pressure valve. This is the valve next to the passenger boost pipe, also used as a MAP sensor.... I took this out and cleaned it as it was quite bunged up, and still the problem persists.

do i pull my car out of the garage?

can any 1 give me serious help on this matter?

    Dave

    Vehicle : Vauxhall Vectra Hatch

Trim : SRI with added X-Pack

    Engine : 1.9 16v 150

    Year : 2006

    Mileage : Near 100K

Have known a blown fuse to cause the brake lights to stay on before.

Sounds like the pipe going to the turbo actuator has sprung a hole, last one i seen was melted to the downpipe.

The fact that they 'think' thats the problem would be enough for me to take the car out of the garage and get it properly diagnosed.

It was on a saab 2.2 tid ( same engine as dti vectras ) the pipe is part rubber and part plastic, could also be a blown intercooler or intercooler pipe, However you can normally hear the problem then.

a blown intercooler pipe would cause hissing correct? No hissing heard on this.. i did replace the passenger intercooler pipe with a silicone one on the same day.
