Default common fault. so I thought

For the second time in 4 years my heater blower only works on number 4. So bought a new resistor, took out the glove box replaced the resister and...... Nothing. My first thought was dodgy resistor, so tried the new and the old resister in my mates car and both worked ok. so I thought it might be the control panel but that too worked in his car. So now I need ur help, what else can be the problem.

Quite likely to be the relay (had the same problem on mine), remove the glove box, on the left hand side is the relay panel, there is a small blue relay about 1" by 0.5", replace that.... It costs about £7 from a dealer, you might be able to get cheaper from a scrappy or somewhere else (I might even have a spare one at home)

No worries, quick check - make sure the ignition is on, turn the switch to 0, when you turn to 1, you should hear a quiet click coming from the fusebox (if the relay is working), if not then that looks like the culprit!
