Just a question for the vec B and C 2.2 dti sri owners, have you ever had any issues with the fuel pump? Is it a common problem or just luck?

Well John robertson had his 2.2 dti with a tuning box and his was fine I had a 2.o dti with a map decat an mine was ok so just look I think mate
I've never had a fuel pump problem with any of my 3 dti's i've had and i've had all 3 types-x20dth,y20dth and y22dtr
i had one dti that was a 2.0 x20dth and fuel pump failed twice. well first time it deffinately did die as engine cut out whilst driving and refused to start this was later confirmed by diagnostic readings. 2nd time engine was in limp mode with smoke. They replaced injector seals but still no luck my car came out worser than it went in to the garage with heavy black smoke and limp mode big time i could not go past 20mph!!!
So that resulted in a fuel pump change which did solve the problem how ever car felt crap to drive it had no power was much slower than before and also it had a annoying starting problem.
what's the best place to fill up with the 2.2 dti sri's? some one said on vvoc that shell was not good to use on them...?
Vectra C, 2.2 DTi SRi. 52 reg. 106,000 miles. No problems at all
My old dti didn't like shell diesel for some reason always mis fired when I used it so I stuck to anything but shell
what about starting in the cold?
Starts first time every time. Last winter, in the morning, the BC would show -9 or -10. I attempted a cold-start without using the glow plugs. Started first time after cranking for only 2-3 seconds. The glow plug light only shows for a second anyway. Little / no smoke, too
My ex siggy dti done 140k no probs and started first time hot or cold
