I cannot belive the difference a set of HIDs have done!

    Let there be light.

I have been using +50% halogens and I was still not seeing the road, so I bought a set of 50W HIDs from our friends at HIDs direct!

I'll have to agree to differ on aftermarket HiD - though I do agree standard they are appalling. Odd as the main beam is so good. My theory is all the Vecs were intended to have HiD as standard, then the money men made it optional extra/high range only.
Got tailgated by an Octavia the other night, single carriageway either side, he was on main beam blinding me and weaving/tailgating me, even though I was keeping up to the 60mph limit.
He eventually passed, so as he did I put my mains on, and watched him weave up the road flashing hiis brakes and fogs in protest. Didn't do it for long, a few seconds while no other cars were affected. I don't normally retaliate but he got up my nose, and I'd had a belly full of the idiots that flash you with main beam for giving way, then wonder why you can't see.
