DVD player installation

Hi folks looking for some help,

I'm having problems installing my Sevic Blue laser 7" in-dash dvd player,
I connected it to test and got a blue screen, nothing else is lighting up.

I'm using the ISO cable that came with it and not the wiring loom that comes with the facia as I have been told I don't need it, I have a pink cable that is for ground so I connected it to the black ground on the iso (I have done this in the past with other stereo's an it has worked fine) but with this one I get nothing but a blue screen that is pulsing faintly.

Does anyone have any ideas/experiences with blue laser dvd players.
My Veccie is 53plate, the stereo coming out is a CCR 2006 if that helps.

No experience with that make / model but quite a few have an extra wire to connect to the handbrake (usually just needs earthing) to make it think the handbrake is on otherwise you can have a blank screen as it thinks your moving!?!?!

As above really m8 should plug straight into the loom of the car just double check the wiring of the unit matches the car loom before plugging in, usually gotta swap yellow & red wires over. Has it got an external control box? All i can suggest is go over everything again really. I take it the controls aint lighting up when you say only the screen?

You're right m8, no power except the the blue matrix display lighting up, does'nt display anything though just blue light.
I took it an audio centre on Sun and they hooked it into there stands an it worked fine didn't even need to change a wire.

It must be something on the vec that needs moved.
