Default chrome mirrors won't fold in!

Bought with standard mirrors, with 'fold-in' function. Had irmscher chrome covers fitted and now the driver's side won't fold in properly. it moves about 10mm then stops, I can help it along its way with a tiny bit of pressure, but how bad does that look when I getting out of my car and having to push the fold button AND press my finger on the mirror cover...

I've tried lubing the surfaces in and around the hinge point...to no avail... ideas anyone? please....

had the same problem when fitting mine as i have electric folding mirrors ,i refited mine about 4 times till i got them working .the irmscher ones are the same as the originals that ones you removed so they do fit , watch the casings are not restricting the rubbers & puting to much presure on the folding motors . keep at it & you will get there or get the dealer to fit them
