    Default new member with a fustrating problem

    Hi all i have had my vectra c for around 8 months (2.2 d elegance) i have recently changed my rear brake pads easy enough job but i have aquired a rather annoying rattle from the drivers side this along with the sqweeky altenator belt is driving me insane you advise would be appriciated!!

    Bet you bent dust shield when doing brakes just try and bend the dust sheild up slightly and make sure its not catching

    squeaky aux belt will no doubt be your aux belt tensioner

    easy fix

    yeah thought as much will have to wait till after xmas already had to put a turbo regulator valve on it this month! and brakes ggrrr dust shield seems to have stopped rattle but will find out for defenate wen i drive to work later thanks fellas

    Hi I had brake trouble when i did not use vauxhall parts on the rear rattle the pads moving around put vauxhall pads in job done all fine.

    rear pads will just be 'ill - fitting pads ' plenty of coppaslip should sort it , aux belt ... rough up the smooth side slightly with som sandpaper should stop the squealing for a while .

    you need HYCOTE BELT SLIP,,,or any good belt dressing
