Passenger side is easy. Just remove the filler neck from the wash bottle.
Drivers side, either bumper off, or airbox out. Some prefere the former, some prefer the latter. Personally I prefer the former.

As for LED dipped beam bulbs, as Lee said. You might as well install a couple of candles instead.

HIDs aren't going to be banned as such, it's just rumour that from next April they'll fail an MOT (Jan until March just given an advisory).

Until such time when my car is due an MOT, or until some real facts are posted by people whose cars have actually failed the MOT because of HIDs then I'm not going to worry one bit about it.

If you don't use dipped beam, then surely you don't use main beam either, so what was the point in changing the bulbs?

my passenger side went tonight wasnt to bad.

    Lift battery box lid,
    Remove fuse box lid,
fight with filler neck and give up.
squeeze hand in and remove cover ... try keep hold of it.
remove bulb and replace in oder above but backwards.

Just give it a pull.... Feels like it won't budge at first but it will.... If I remember correctly there is a locating pin thing to one side to aid when replacing - might be wrong on the last bit though - but defo just pulls off
