"Be aware" as in affecting your no claims discount?

Tesco are one such insurer where that shouldn't happen.

All confirmed in their policy booklet - page 12

I remember calling an insurance company about a renewal once, as she took me through it she said " I see you made a claim last year", news to me, "Yes you had a windscreen replaced". Didn't affect my renewal or NCD, but had been logged as a claim though.

The thing is, how else are you gonna get a replacement windscreen? By not going thru your insurance it gonna be big bucks. £60-80 excess and maybe a small increase on the premium is very cheap imo. Unless you know somebody in the trade that can get yours out and put one in on the cheap.

I was looking to buy from independent companies and the quotes I got were £110 ish so not too bad.My excess is £75 so I wanted to pay that bit more to avoid any problems. It just that "TESCO - BE AWARE" made me think what can go wrong. They didn't want to explain that's why I asked You guys.

I claimed earlier in the year. Admiral said to me they have no issue with a couple a year + a few repairs and won't affect no claims/premium
