    Default Gutting the DPF

I'm in the process of deciding whether or not to gut my DPF, get a remap and get shot of the EGR before it causes me grief.

I have had several quotes for the DPF job itself, some of which were an eye wateringly hungry £300, followed by £599 for the remap.

Years ago I decated my volvo by taking the cat off and smashing out the insides.

Can I do the same with a DPF or is it not possible?

Anybody got any photos of it being done?

    Vehicle : safira

    Trim : Se

    Engine : 120

    Year : 2006

    Default

With my last car a C5, I drilled the DPF out with a long drill.

It too had a diferencial pressure sensor across the dpf,

I enlarged it slightly until I got the power and no warning lights up on the dash.

Took three goes to get the right size hole.........
