Default Rear fog light dont glow.

    Hi guys.

Got a opel Vectra 2005 which got some problems with the rear fog light.

The light does not work on the right side even after a lightball switch.
The warning light on the dashboard is a bit on and off. Mostly it glow but somtimes it disappears for a couple of minutes.

Anyone got any experience with this?

The vectra c only has one working fog light mate On the Vec C/Signum the holder and bulb is all there but there is no wiring to it. The manual states that the bulb in the non-working side is a spare!

There is only a requirement for one working rear foglight.
In the UK the RHS one.
In your country, it'll be the LHS one.

Alternately some car manufacturers fit one in the centre of the rear bumper - eg Peugeot 206, BMW Mini.

As regard to the bulb warning light, it's probably reporting a different bulb and not the fog light.

    Default

The EU (and UK) Lighting Regulations state that a fog light must be easily differentiated from brake lights. The easiest way to do this is to have only one, because brake lights (other than high level ones) always have to be fitted in pairs.

So most cars made for the European market have only one rear foglight. It's actually the cars with two that are in the minority (mainly Japanese manufactured ones)
