Default Irmscher mesh grill opinion please

i have the Irmy metal mesh grills top and bottom on my facelift they are painted black and i think look good , my problem is that they fit infront of the old grill and you can see them through the mesh, im thinking to cut away the grill, what do you think, be gentle

I don't like the Irmscher grilles - or the Vauxhall grilles - on the pre-face Vectra, so you can guess my opinion!
I have an Opel GTC grille on mine- much nicer IMHO.
(I really must get the rest of the Vx badges replaced with Opel ones............)

Yes I have the facelift , I think I am going to cut the original grill leaving little tabs to hold the mesh in place, not seen it done before it may turn out to be a big mistake but there is only one way to find out and if is then ill get the plain irmy grill. If I can work out how to put pics on here then ill show the end result.

I thought that if I cut the old grills out what sort of mess would it leave behind where the fins had been cut thought it might look untidy so went and left it, think it looks good just got to fit me signum fog surrounds
