battery light?

hi all
today when i was driving around town the battery light came on? when i stopped and restarted the engine again it was off but a little while later it came back on again and stayed on??
anyone had this prob or know what it might be?

i had this, alternator failing

30 miles later and i started losing car functions before it finally died.

oh nooooooooooo i was only reading about this the other day.... mine is 12.20 not running and 11.82 running, looks like a new alternator.... any ideas how much, part number and best place to buy...... MORE BLO*DY MONEY

just read on a how2 that it could be a loose alt belt, I have had my inlet manifold fitted a month ago by vxl, would they have took the aux belt off for this? if so i may take it back to them has it was fine before they touched it?

It's goosed mine went was exact same as u turn off car and restart it went off couple seconds later came back on next day lost all electrics

i got a fully refurbed alternator for £150.

just the removal/refit to pay for, but i got mine done at work

could anyone confirm that the readings ive posted above can only be a knackered alternator or could it be something else? fuses, connections, v belt is only 1500 miles old
