whats the brightest sidelights around ive had mtecs in for years but they are not that bright and a bit blue fot me, any other suggestions besides l.e.d.s as they dont work ,

I got some bright white LED's for mine and they're superb - complimenting the Xenons.
OK, they strobe for a few seconds when car is locked or unlocked, but the strobing stops when engine is started.


You could tell people it's a fancy alarm system check...................

I got an advisory on last years mot because my led side lights strobed while sitting there
I wasn't happy about it as they work fine when you switch them on

I have white LED's in mine, yes they strobe for a short time when switched off but passed the MOT at a dealers with no probs at all.

My LED sidies also passed the MoT without even a comment. I asked the tester about them when I dropped the car off and he just said don't worry about it as it's not a test point.

Think you'll probably find if you watch them for a while that they strobe constantly on and off, not just when locking and unlocking the car.
Iirc it's as the bulb failure checker passes through, the only time they don't strobe at all is when they're actually switched on.
