    Default Tuning box - wow!

well after much deliberation on which box to go for i chose the caterman special, i was a little hesitant as the car is still under warranty.
got the box on wednesday and fitted it. i had a couple of problems, being plugs did not quite fit straight away (the lugs were a little out) but got prompt support from the trader in what to do(emailed back within 1 hour) where i had to remove a yellow clip on one end the other end the lugs were the same. i did not want to alter them in case the box had to go back so tried to fit the best i could, this caused limp mode. i then tried to push it further in and it worked the EM light was still on but went off after the car started. i tried the car and well it is gaging for you to open the throttle no flat spots at all and when you let rip you think it is a totally different car it flies. anyway i still had the plug that was not quite fitting right, i mailed caterman to check if he altered his in any way, (thanks for support caterman) i thought filling the lugs down a bit would do the trick which it did. it fits like a glove now. while i was on i decided to do the airbox mod which was easy following the guide to on here
i left the original air filter in but will be changing it soon as it was at the stealers for a full service six weeks ago where they were supposed to change it but by the looks of it, it is the original one.
i now have to do the ecu trick (battery off for half an hour) to reset it.

altogether i am so impressed and pleased i bought it

What is the brand of box, where do you get them and how much difference does it make in BHP and mpg.

Any long term problems known ?

No idea of make, i'll find the link in a min, takes it up to around 190+ bhp and no loss of mpg.

Long term problem is you will have trouble with the silly grin it puts on your face

    Found the link HERE
He advertises another as soon as each auction ends. It works out at £63 inc delivery.
They take 2 minutes to fit.
If you do win the auction, let him know it is for a 1.9 CDTi when you pay for it and you won't have to wait. Mine was delivered in 4 days as i'd asked before i bought it.

Having been a passenger in Catermans car, I would say that its more like 200 bhp and nothing less
