Default Cim modue problem cim DL needed or another that will fit???

Hi after reading on here I have found out that my cim is playing up, I removed the steering cowling and it has the code DL on it.

I have looked round and it seems other cims can be fitted with different codes so the question is what one will fit mine? The car is a Vec gsi 3.2 on a 54 plate

I have unplugged the connected the ABS plug and removed the rear 10,17,26 fuses for 5 mins and put them back but still the same, the steering wheel with exclamation mark still remains, also the traction/ESP is on the dash constant.

    Help needed please

Have you pull the plug off the back and give it a spray with wd40?I had the same problem on my mates car and justa little looking on here at some of the threads this is one thing that has worked! You never know this could be the problem.

What about the key, is that playing up ?

Hi yes I tried the wd40 in the plug, also when I bought the car it had just had a new key as last one broke, that's got me thinking now???

I really need it sorting as it's driving me mad :-(

I've had the same issues did the same stuff, including sacrificing a few hens at midnight (KTCF) and a few virgins (adult channels) but no joy.

I too wondered if I mentioned that my 20" 5% super low profile tyres were hard to turn it would get a few more hits?

They wanted 'just £75.00' +vat to stick Tech 2 on and tell me what the fault is. I thought I'd change the CIM on there door step and use the 'just £75.00' +vat to recode the new CIM.

Is it me or are there a lot of 5+ year old CIM's dying out there?
