    Exclamation HELPP!! Heaters not working

Hi all my heater has stopped working on all speeds there's nothing coming from the vents atall, this happened yesterday but it started working again in the morning and now its gone again.

Anyone know what this might be, is it a fuse? :S

I did search on the forum and there's a lot of posts for the motor or the resistor being the problem but my one stops working completely and then starts working normally, its gone again now

Its the climate control type, any help would be much appreciated
    ITS COLD without heaters

When was the last time you cleaned the scuttle as it sounds like the motor may have seized or part seized.

If your blowers only work on position 4 but don't work on positions 1, 2 or 3 then it's the resistor pack... or more specifically the thermal fuse on the top of the resistor pack. This blows when your heater motor starts to seize (difficult to turn). When the motor starts to seize it draws more power through the resistor pack which in turn generates more heat... up to the point the thermal fuse blows. The fuses are available from Maplins (or the internet) for pennies and are relatively simple to change. However before changing you need check and if necessary free-up your blower motor otherwise the fuse will just blow again. There are 9 torx screws holding the blower motor in position (behind the glove box). It's awkward but relatively straightforward to remove. Once out you can strip it down, clean/oil it and put it back together with your repaired resistor pack.

I did mine several months ago and it still runs perfect.
